About Us

CWP Renewables (CWPR) is a renewable energy company that develops, operates and owns renewable energy assets in Australia.

We work with local communities to lead the transition to Australia’s clean energy future. Our team holds a wealth of experience in the renewable energy sector, accumulated through the successful delivery of projects in Australia since 2007.

Key development activities are coordinated from our offices in Newcastle and Sydney, with asset management services delivered from our Canberra office.

Our Team

Our people work across the following teams:

  • Development: development of identified greenfield projects, including initial prospecting activities, initial contact and negotiation with local landowners / councils, preliminary site designs, engaging with stakeholders at the local, regional, state and federal levels, preparing planning applications and managing the approval processes.
  • Asset Management: full lifecycle of asset management activities from delivery of early works, through to day-to-day operations of CWPR assets over their life and into decommissioning. The group is responsible for the day-to-day management of the operating assets, optimising their performance and compliance with the National Electricity Market rules.
  • Technical Services: delivering the required engineering and design skillset to support the site selection, layout design, optimisation in development sites, the grid connection negotiation and technical design in construction projects and the ongoing technical compliance during operations.
  • Finance and Corporate: management of the business functions including financial control, project finance, people and culture, legal, communications, management of our board / other governance processes, office administration and management systems. The project finance team is responsible for raising debt finance to fund out assets and in negotiating offtake arrangements with customers.
