Sapphire Wind Farm is located on Ngarabal Country, 18 km west of Glen Innes, in the New England region of northern NSW. It is the largest operational wind farm in New South Wales and has helped the ACT Government meet its target of 100% renewables in 2020 by providing a long term power purchase agreement.
Crudine Ridge Wind Farm is located on Wiradjuri Country, 45km south of Mudgee. The project became fully operational in 2022 and generates enough renewable electricity to power more than 75,000 homes a year. The wind farm helps power purchase partner Nestlé Australia to meet its 100% renewable electricity needs.
The Bango Wind Farm is located on Ngunnawal Country, 30km north of Yass in NSW and will be the third largest wind farm in NSW. The project is under construction and is expected to be fully operational late 2022.
Uungula Wind Farm is a proposed development of up to 93 wind turbines and associated infrastructure located on Wiradjuri Country, 14 km east of Wellington, NSW, within the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone.
The proposed Jeremiah Wind Farm is located on Ngunnawal Country, around 25 km east of Gundagai, NSW, within the Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council area. The proposed project currently comprises 65 wind turbines and battery energy storage.
The proposed Spicers Creek Wind Farm is located on Wiradjuri Country, west of Gulgong and north east of Wellington, within the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone. The proposed project currently comprises up to 117 wind turbines and battery energy storage.
The proposed Boorolong Wind Farm is located on Nganyaywana Country, around 20km north-west of Armidale, within the New England Renewable Energy Zone (REZ). The project will comprise of wind turbine generators, battery storage and ancillary infrastructure.
