Solar Projects

Sapphire Solar Farm

c.200 MW, New South Wales, Australia

Sapphire Solar Farm is an approved development and is expected to commence construction in early 2019.

The hybrid solar and battery power facility is co-located with the Sapphire Wind Farm representing the largest hybrid renewable energy project in Australia at the time of development. The proposed project will connect wind and solar generation with battery storage to provide predictable, dispatchable renewable energy output directly into the NEM.

CWP has been developing the project based on the strong relationships established with landowners, community and Council throughout the Sapphire Wind Farm development.

Sundown Solar Farm

c.600 MW, New South Wales, Australia

Sundown Solar Farm is located between Glen Innes and Inverell in the New England Tablelands region of northern NSW. The project is currently under development with studies for environmental planning approvals underway.

The project will have a capacity of up to 600MW of solar generation in an ideal solar farm setting on the elevated plains of the NSW New England Tablelands region.

CWP Renewables has been developing the project based on the strong relationships established with landowners, community and Council.

Parkesbourne Solar Farm

c.600 MW, New South Wales, Australia

Parkesbourne Solar Farm is a proposed development on agricultural land approximately 15 km west of Goulburn, NSW. The site is well suited to solar generation due to its flat terrain, low density of rural residential dwellings and proximity to existing transmission infrastructure. The proposed project could have the capacity to generate up to 600 MW.

The footprint and scale of the project will be refined through the development of the project Environmental Impact Statement.

CWP Renewables are currently working closely with the community to help shape the development of the solar farm.

Glenellen Solar Farm

c.200 MW, New South Wales, Australia

Glenellen Solar Farm is a proposed development located 16km north of Albury in southern NSW. The project consists of a large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) generation facility, including battery storage and associated infrastructure, with an estimated maximum capacity of up to 200MW and would provide enough energy to power over 83,000 average Australian homes a year.

The facility will also include battery storage, allowing energy to be stored and dispatched into the National Electricity Grid on demand.

CWP Renewables are currently working closely with the community to help shape the development of the solar farm.
