Sapphire Wind Farm

270 MW, New South Wales, Australia

The 270 MW Sapphire Wind Farm is currently under construction near Glen Innes in NSW, Australia.

When complete, the 75 turbines in this project will provide enough clean energy to power around 115,000 homes and displace 700,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide each year. It also brings many economic benefits to NSW’s New England region, including over 150 new jobs, as well as to the ACT capital region.

Through the Power Purchase Agreement signed with the ACT Government, Sapphire Wind Farm is helping the ACT meet its target of 100% renewables by 2020.

CWP Renewables developed the project, and is asset managing the project through construction and long-term operations.
